The future of corporate events, between emotion and technology

The world has changed. Customers expectations and behaviors have changed during these last 3 years. Our way of working has also changed. The methods and processes of planning and organizing events have been adapted to this more demanding market. Everyday, we innovate.

Today, videoconferencing is a technology perfectly suited to the delivery of a message “One to Others” and the animation of small groups of people. It is also, we have experienced it during the eruption of the islandic vulcano, an excellent alternative for rapid decision making or information sharing. But videoconferencing can not be considered as the Alpha and Omega of the meeting organization.

Human beings are inherently gregarious. Human contact and physical proximity are indispensable for creating links between people. Men and women will still need to meet, share and reinforce their belonging to a physical community.

The real content of an event is the discovery (of a product, a concept or of an individual). This discovery, to be significant and memorable, has to include a strong emotional dimension. It is where the talent of event companies is. And where the true power of meetings resides.

let’s discuss it at IMEX’10, I’ll be there today!
(June 25 to 27 – Frankfurt)
