A wonderful evening with the Tosca of Puccini, at the Chorégies d’Orange

A great interpretation of Puccini’s opera with Catherine Naglestad as Tosca, who after a fairly average first act, overturned the 9000 spectators in acts II and III. Robert Alagna, equal to himself, has found back his voice in spite of a severe Mistral. The barython Falk Struckmann in the role of Scarpia left me somewhat on my hunger.

The staging by Nadine Duffaut was remarkable, despite the difficulty of adapting to the scene of the ancient theatre.

Undoubtedly, the star of the evening was the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio France, conducted by the talented Finnish conductor, Mikko Franck.

Andantino, partner of the festival “Musiques au coeur” for a tribute to the Italian Opera

For this 22th festival “Musiques au coeur” of Antibes, our association Andantino invited its members and their guests for a vibrant tribute to the Italian Opera in the Villa Eilenroc, a place now legendary.

On this Wednesday 7th July, the program was of an exceptional quality with the Barber of Seville by Gioacchino Rossini. It was the opportunity to discover new talents, Evgueniy Alexiev in Figaro, or Laura Baert for the first time in Rosine. These artists were of course accompanied by the Orchestre Regional de Cannes PACA.

The mistress of ceremonies, Eve Ruggieri, has once again offered an exceptional program, that spotlights young talents.
